The Final Countdown
There are only 2 days and we will again welcome not only the 8 smart mobility finalists with high-growth potential (short introduction are here and here of them), but also most of the jury members at the EUROPEAN FINAL (online, 3rd December from 17:30, co-hosted with e&Co AG).
The exclusive startup award series of our pan-European investment club provides great opportunity for accessing exclusive deal flows and network with like-minded international investors. Hence, we would like to introduce you some of the high-level investors and experts who will be part of the event on the jury board. Business Angel With Global Corporate Experience: Françoise Birnholz
Françoise is an experienced business angel investing in early-stage companies, Françoise is the single jury member, who took part at all local events. She served for several years as a board member on a business angels’ platform and has significant international experience having served in senior positions in major global financial institutions like Citibank, Julius Baer, Credit Suisse, HSBC. She is a trained international and multi-lingual attorney.
Autonomous Driving Expert: Karsten Schulze
Karsten is the Managing Director of FDTech and is a first-time jury member by us. He is an experienced manager with a strong technical background with expertise in the fields of ADAS, active safety and automated driving. Boasting a two-decade track record of development and series introduction projects, he can look back on 15 to 20 years of international experience cooperating with OEMs and suppliers.
Smart Mobility Entrepreneurial Investor: Geza Brugger
Geza is a Co-founder and Chief Venture Officer of our co-hosting partner e&Co. AG, a management consultancy and investment company having its focus on the mobility industries. He is also the Managing Director of motec ventures, a smart mobility investment company located in Vienna and doing early-stage investments into enabling technologies around autonomous, electric and connected mobility. Geza is based in Germany and is a returning member in our jury.
Deutsche Börse Venture Expert & Menthor: Oliver Mahr
Oliver is also a returning member of our jury, Oliver represents Global Sales & Relationship Management at the Deutsche Börse Venture Network, the pre-IPO program of the Deutsche Börse Group. Oliver is responsible for the global network of investors and growth companies as well as the personal and individual support of high-growth companies from early stage up to a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In addition, Oliver acts as a startup mentor specialized in fintech at various German and Austrian incubator and acceleration programs.
Spain Specialist Entrepreneur & Investor: Tom Horsey
Tom is a serial entrepreneur and business angel. Educated in the UK (Bryanston School and Aston University), he has been based in Spain and now Malta since 2015. He is a Co-founder and Head of Investor Relations at Connected Mobility Hub, the European association of smart mobility startups and our partner of the local selection event in Spain. Tom also a Co-founder of StartupLabs Spain, a scale-up accelerator in Southern Spain. Tom is also a returning member on the jury board.
Special Award: The Crowd Vote Winner
This year, the European Super Angels Club introduces a second award for its eight finalists – the ‘Smart Mobility Crowd Vote Winner’ – a title that will allow the recipient to receive the same highlight and traction among investors as the winner of the final event.
We are looking for the best idea or solution among our pre-selected startups; regardless of valuation, the fundraising amount or other background data that our analyst team already collected.
The voting will close on December 3rd, 6:30pm (CET).
