This year was particularly exciting and challenging for everyone. Nevertheless the trend ranking jury took on the task of evaluating 200 young companies again this year. 3 startups from ESAC particularly stood out this year.

It is extremly pleasing that 3 portfolio companies of the European Super Angels Club are among the top 50 startups!

Rank #18 – Biome DX

A veritable shower of prizes fell on Biome Diagnostics this year. EY, Forbes and WKO praised the intestinal diagnosticians. Never before has a public vote at the legendary Web Summit been higher than that for BiomeDx: 56% were impressive! Nikolaus Gasche and Senior Scientist Catia Pacifico returned home from Lisbon with a fabulous second place. The strong team, consisting of 19 employees, will soon draw the next ace: a medical product that can diagnose bowel cancer or pre-stages with extremely high accuracy (95%).

The Linz-based crypto start-up for tax software, Blockpit, secured 8.4 million euros in investment funds last year.
With 40 employees, the company is now active in six countries and pools resources and know-how in cooperation with the crypto forensics startup Foreus.

Rank #35 – Eloop

Top year for the emission-free Viennese car sharing provider Eloop. The Tesla fleet was doubled to 200 electric cars. In an expansion of the seed round, led by the ESAC and C&P Ventures, there was another million euros. Strategically, they are now cooperating with the Lucky Car workshop chain and financing the e-vehicle fleet with token sales.
