Our portfolio company Eloop has closed another financing round worth over a million Euros. With the Dutch investment group “The Sharing Group” (TSG), a new investor comes on board.

End of February Eloop announced its target to double its fleet up to 400 vehicles this year. With this new million investment, the ambitious goal could now work out. Dutch investment group “The Sharing Group” (TSG) is a now a new investor in the Vienna-based mobility startup. Previous investors such as the European Super Angels Club, W3 Partners, Zaid Al-Aifari, Bitpanda Co-Founder Christian Trummer, ex-ÖFB captain Andreas Ivanschitz and Lucky Car are also back on board. The Austrian car repair shop chain Lucky Car has been a strategic investor in the company since fall 2022.

New investor with sharing expertise

With TSG, a strategic mobility investor is also coming on board for the first time, which will support Eloop with its expertise in scaling the e-car sharing service. Eloop will use the fresh capital to expand and build up its fleets in Vienna and Munich.

Expanding Blockchain Business

In addition to the mobility business, the startup’s blockchain division will also be further expanded and offered as a white-label solution in the future. “Eloop is the first car sharing provider where token holders can participate in the ride revenues. Eloop distributes the One Token through our specially created platform. In the future, this solution can also used by other mobility providers”, says Leroy Hofer, CEO at Eloop. For the further development of this business field, Eloop wants to rely on the know-how of existing investor Christian Trummer. He has been on board since 2022.

Record profits in 2022

Despite inflation and ongoing difficult market situations, Eloop reports record sales for 2022, with a 60 percent increase over the previous year. Although the company is behind its own expectations, it has successfully mastered the numerous challenges of the past year.
