ESAC Come2gether Event in Kitzbuhel – Recap
For the first time since 2019, European Super Angels Club is proud to bring back investor & startup in-person meetups, with the first kick-off event organised in one of the most famous Alp resorts of Austria – Kitzbuhel.
The come-back event was supported by ESAC partners and sponsors – KPMG, Binder & Grösswang, the Liechtensteinische Landesbank, and venture capital specialist Venionaire Capital – who used the event as a chance to connect with private investors and high-potential startups, as well as present their latest developments and success stories.
The location of the event was as in the previous years, Hotel Rasmushof, which is well-known for its golf & country club with a 9-hole course, situated in the finish area of the famous Kitzbuhel Streif downhill race.
At the event, located in the scenic area next to Hahnenkamm, the attendees got an opportunity to compete in the golf tournament and connect through the team plays before the scheduled official networking session started.
In the afternoon, participating ESAC portfolio companies – Blockpit, ELOOP, flovtec, Monkee, Biome Diagnostics, Sponsoo, Yodel.io, Unmanned.Life, Kompany– had a chance to network with investors in the pitching round and exchange ideas and visions on the latest developments and future outlook of their ventures.
“I really enjoyed seeing our portfolio companies and co-investors in this beautiful setting. We shared experiences and got contained by the spirit and ambition of the many founders on site – it’s stunning how fast some of our companies developed and which ideas they have for the future,” says Markus Ertler (Business Angel).
As a part of the event closing, there was also a golf award ceremony to commemorate the high-skilled performance of the golf tournament participants. Christian Zwick from Binder & Grösswang, Philip Tropper from ELOOP and Richard Wakefield from kompany took the top 3 places (respectively).
The evening then proceeded in a relaxed setting with BBQ and after-event drinks. Venionaire partner from Switzerland – Frank Floessel, and his family also enjoyed the event and picturesque location:
“Kitzbühel has amazing energy and offers great hospitality. I am really impressed by the organisation of this event, and recommend everyone who missed out this year to join in the future.”
The European Super Angels Club also extends its stay to join Business Angel Summit the following days, organized by the Standortagentur Tirol and Austria Wirtschaftsservice (AWS), as a proud sponsor of the event.
