Our prestigious portfolio company FraudFinder has joined the Provenir Marketplace as a data partner. As a result, lenders and fintechs that run on Provenir can now add FraudFinder’s AI document fraud detection to their risk decisions. The London-based company checks every document an applicant submits in a matter of seconds.
Why Document Fraud Is a Growing Risk for Lenders
Lending decisions still rest on documents. Bank statements, payslips, utility bills and tax papers decide who gets credit and on what terms. However, generative AI has made forging these documents cheap and fast.
Today, an edited PDF can look perfectly genuine. It leaves no visible traces for a human reviewer. Therefore, manual checks alone no longer protect a lending pipeline. Lenders need forensic tools that work at the speed of digital onboarding.
What the Provenir Marketplace Listing Brings
Provenir runs a global risk decisioning platform for financial services. Its marketplace brings data partners for fraud, credit risk and verification into one cloud solution. In other words, Provenir customers can activate new data sources without building separate integrations.
With this listing, FraudFinder becomes one of those sources. Its platform analyses every submitted document in around three seconds. It works with PDFs and images, in any format and from anywhere in the world.
The technology relies on layered forensics. FraudFinder checks structure, fonts, metadata, version history and data consistency together. In addition, it benchmarks each file against millions of genuine documents. This is how it catches AI-generated and edited files that appear legitimate.
Beyond fraud checks, the platform offers data extraction, document translation, Confirmation of Payee and optional ID checks. Customers can also maintain their own blocklists to spot repeat offenders. Delivery runs via REST API, SDK or web platform.
Proven Results With Real Customers
The numbers explain why a major platform wants FraudFinder on board. According to Provenir, clients see a fraud found rate of around 4%. They also report a 28x return on investment. Moreover, up to 95% of underwriting can be automated.
Customers confirm this in practice. “Fraudfinder is now an essential part of our fundamental checks. It verifies fraud in bank statements fast, improving our turnaround time and backing our own checks with data,” says Halo, a corporate finance client.
The listing also continues a clear strategic path. After Homeppl’s rental platform was acquired by Thirdfort, a successful exit for ESAC, the remaining business relaunched as FraudFinder. Since then, the team has focused on document risk analysis across sectors. Joining the Provenir Marketplace now opens access to lenders far beyond its home market.
Proud to Accompany FraudFinder
