The European Super Angels Club selected Smartlane as the best A.I. startup 2019. The Munich-based company developed a self-learning and continuously optimising software for transport logistics. “Our objective is to work with young people with disruptive ideas. We are delighted, that we have found with Smartlane a worthy European winner in the A.I. category”, says Berthold Baurek-Karlic, President of the European Super Angels Club.

However, there is no time for rest. Our sixth pan-European investor roadshow will start soon. “With five countries, several hundred screened A.I. startups and pitching events in Edinburgh, Munich, Zurich and Vienna, the European Artificial Intelligence Awards 2019 have exceeded our expectations. Topics for the upcoming pitching challenges are SportTech and Smart Mobility,” continues Baurek-Karlic.

Five rising A.I. Stars
Smartlane won our finals but all five pitching companies are winners in their respective country. The French startup Alphametry developed a cloud-based and data-driven research management tool, helping asset managers to leverage internal and external knowledge, optimised their research spending, and easily audit their active investment process. A different aspect of A.I. offers Casta Specs. The Scottish startup built a robotic vehicle for autonomous surveillance of your infrastructure. Legartis pitched for Switzerland. The company convinced us of their efficient legal document analytics and management tool. From Austria joined us XUND, an AI-powered mobile health assistant reducing existing barriers between doctors and patients through a self-learning system.
